Electrical Professional Engineer (Water Resources)
Parkhill is seeking to hire an Electrical Professional Engineer to join our growing team. This opportunity is open to any Texas or Oklahoma Parkhill office. This role has the opportunity to support and enhance a wide range of Electrical Engineering projects associated with water collection and distribution, water and wastewater treatment, electric utility relocation, and industrial facility design. This is a full-time, exempt position paid on a salary basis.
The primary responsibility will be as the Engineer of Record for electrical designs on various Parkhill projects. The Engineer of Record is responsible for properly preparing and sealing electrical design documents in compliance with the Texas Engineering Practice Act of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, and the Oklahoma Engineering Practice Act of the Oklahoma State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.

Your Contribution
- Collaborate with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fees.
- Collaborate with CADD technicians and EITs to develop Construction Drawings and Specifications.
- Proficient at developing One-Line Diagrams, Short Circuit Studies, Coordination Studies, Voltage Drop Calculations, Grounding Design, Arc Flash Studies, and motor control schematics.
- Manage the demands of planning and modeling, regulatory compliance, and permitting.
- Train/mentor staff on the use of electrical modeling software such as SKM and AmpCalc.
- Train/mentor staff on electrical design requirements.
- Review project details to proactively manage risk.
- Develop relationships with clients, staff, municipal authorities, vendors, and contractors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Professional engineer registration (PE) in Texas or OK.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering practices, principles and keep up with the ever-changing industry trends.
- Detailed understanding of project engineering methods with the ability to lead project design start to finish, taking into account time, cost and resources.
- An effective communicator with all levels of employees.
- Possess strategic and effective delegation skills.
