  • Knowledge of general civil engineering subjects such as water resources, hydrology and hydraulics, surveying, transportation, and geotechnical concepts

 Typical tasks to be performed include:

  • Contacting city staff and agencies for project coordination and data collection
  • Basic design and calculations to support site grading, drainage analysis, water and sanitary sewer utilities  and paving improvements
  • Development of construction plans, specifications, and Opinions of Probable Costs
  • Visiting construction sites to observe progress and conformance to plans and specifications

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required, with eligibility for professional engineering licensure
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred
  • Newly graduated with excitement to learn, prior experience is not necessary but preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience with ArcGIS, FlowMaster is desirable
  • Previous civil engineering design experience is desirable
