Parkhill is seeking to hire a Engineer-in-training with a specialization in Structural Engineering to join our growing team. This opportunity will be in our Lubbock office. Our Engineer-in-training has the opportunity to support and enhance our range of expertise in structures by collaborating with a great civil engineering team.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CIVIL ENGINEER IN TRAINING

As an Engineer-in-training, you collaborate with your team to develop projects from start to finish. You see projects through from the programming/conceptual design phase to the completion of the construction administration. Your attention to detail is essential as you prepare construction documents. With your great communication skills, you coordinate with multiple disciplines to consultants, contractors, owners, and team members to ensure that our projects are successful. It is exciting to see your projects come to life!

In addition to documenting code review and compliance, you review design concepts and project submittals for compliance. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• EIT/EI number
• At least 1 year of experience in structural engineering (preferred)
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Excellent client and team communication
